postheadericon Grub time!

I have come to realize that eating out in America is a big thing and with traveling to different places after a couple of days its hard to settle down, buy foods and cook so it is much more convenient to just eat out.  Obviously the Yellow Submarine was a big part of this...I ate there near enough most days! I have tried to list all the new restaurants that I have tried and remembered on my list but here are a couple that I wanted to mention!

Applebees-
I actually can't believe I haven't been to this before. I am pretty sure that I have been to the restaurants similar to this one but still, I liked it here. I went with a Colombian guy called Julian and another guy called Nelson. The day we went was the independence day of Colombia so we wanted to do something to celebrate.
Nelson and me celebrating with cocktails

Nelson, Julian and me!

I think by this point I hadn't actually eaten a steak in well over a month so it was steaks all round which went down a treat!

Poor Richards-
This was a sandwich type bar in a town called Manteo which was really lovely and I actually ate at this place twice. The first time though was after the 3rd time going out on my bosses boat. After boating and being in the sun this was like perfection! I got a burger the first time and it was pretty damn good! The second time I went with a guy from work before we decided to go to the aquarium. Roast beef toasted sandwich and a local North Carolina beer, lovely! I have actually forgotten the name of the beer though!

Max wondering what to get

Musti and Max looking like they are enjoying!

Justin...perhaps pondering the meaning of life?

Me and Gosita :)

It is pretty hard to look good while eating!

Uptown Buffett-
This was a cool but very sad experience as this was the last meal that I ate before going to the bus in Virginia and leaving Nags Head =( Austin, Justin and me had spent the evening in Virginia mall drinking a cocktail and a couple of beers since Nelson had to do some things in the Apple store. It was a nice send off before my trip to the Big Apple so I cant complain-it was fun! Therefore by this point we just wanted to eat something. The food was not bad, pretty standard for a Chinese buffett!

I really wish I could eat out every day, how much fun would that be, with some good company?!

postheadericon Being all productive!

So, main thing that I have managed to complete on my list is number 71- Pass and graduate from university. That's right, after 4 years of parties and occasionally going to lectures, I actually have a degree now! Which I guess means that I am more of an adult now...how crazy! Now I actually missed my graduation since I have been in the US all summer but from everyone else's photos, it looked to be a brilliant day!

Number 19- For the past couple of years I have been working my booty off and getting insanely taxed for it! It has been on my list of things to do for about 2 years to actually get my money back but trying to get a hold of the tax people is super frustrating and takes up too much energy! Anyway, I must have done something right because at the start of the summer I finally got a check! Needless to say I have already gotten rid of that money, but for while it lasted, it felt pretty good =D

Number 14- A new workout that I had been doing for a couple months this summer was running outside. I definitely need to get back into asap! Compared to the treadmill, it feels a whole lot better...so long as there are some decent songs on my ipod =P I haven't been able to do this while living in Scotland; the cold puts me off a whole lot but the areas in which I have lived are not the most appealing when you want to be distracted while running. In Nags Head these are the kind of scenery that I got to run past:

When living in this neighbourhood and living so close to the beach, who wouldn't want to spend as much time as possible outside taking in the beauty?!

postheadericon Put your hands up!

So I have finally managed to tick this off of my list- Shooting a proper gun!

This was a super awesome experience! One of the guys that I work with took me and another guy who had never shot a gun to the gun range to do some clay pigeon shooting. This was for sure a lot harder than how the target shooting was but it was a lot more fun! And I actually managed to hit a couple!

How badass do I look? :D

This is Justin, who was teaching me...he looks even more badass than me and was pretty awesome!

Nelson, getting taught with me, in action!

I had to zoom this one in because I managed to catch a photo of Justin hitting the clay and you can totally see it explode!
Hopefully you can see on this one at the top of the pic- Justin managed to get a photo of me hitting one too!
I actually loved doing this; being out in range and just chilling out was really cool. I think that we were maybe out shooting for just over an hour but for sure it was one of the fastest hours!
This is actually something that I really want to do again, already missing it!

postheadericon We all live in the Yellow Submarine!

So a week today I will have left Nags Head and I will be in New York! As much as I am super excited, I am also super sad to be leaving this town!

I have spent the last 3 months working in a restaurant called the Yellow Submarine- a pizza and sub place with some pretty awesome people. So this blog post is going to be me being all nostalgic about leaving with some photos! The theme of the restaurant is of course the Beatles and the walls were decorated with Beatles memorabilia like

It sure is pretty nice to look around for any Beatles fans out there!
But the most important factor in working here for me was by far the people!

Me, working hard as usual!

Gosia with Laurita and Penny!

Me and the lovely Laurita...muy loca!

Being silly...Justin and Gosia!

Gosita and Julian!

Musti with Zhan and Diana cooking away!

Muy bonitas latinos! Thalia and Laurita!

Kazak girlies; Aida and Akmaral
Anyway, enough nostalgia for now...no doubt once I leave here and then leave the states there will be more photos down memory lane! I can also tick number 53- make new friends off of my list as these people are pretty awesome and I hope that I will be able to meet all of them again! Tomorrow I will be hopefully ticking else something off of my list...I am being taking to the gun range so that I can shoot my first proper gun!

I will leave you with the theme song for this blog post, I mean who doesn't love this song?!

Anyway, super excited about them so I will upload them here =D

As always, sorry I have not posted in forever! Still in North Carolina, working and trying to do as many things while I am here!
